The STRIVE Program or Skills Training Initiative is a sponsorship scheme by JPA for Implementation Group Officers in the federal civil service. It helps officers pursue technical and vocational training at TVET diploma and certification levels within Malaysia.
Key Features of STRIVE

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a permanent Implementation Group Officer in federal service
- Must be confirmed in service by 1 January of the program year
- Must complete at least 8 years of service by that date
- Must have an average LNPT score of 85 percent or higher for the past three years
- Must be 45 years old or younger as of 1 January of the program year
- Must hold SPM or SVM and apply for a qualification higher than existing certification
- Must observe the waiting period after previous training
- Training more than 12 months requires 2 years wait
- Training 3 to 12 months requires 1 year wait
- Must have Head of Department approval and PPSM verification
- Must not be facing any disciplinary or legal issues
- Must have declared assets within the last 5 years
- Must not be sponsored by any other agency for the same study
