What Is HLP
HLP means Hadiah Latihan Persekutuan
It is a full sponsorship for full time postgraduate study at Masters or PhD level
It covers tuition allowances and includes full pay study leave CBBP
Who Can Apply
- Must be a Management and Professional officer in federal service or a federal statutory body not on a special scheme
- Must be confirmed in service by 1 January of the offering year
- Must hold at least 85 percent average LNPT for the last three years each year must be 12 months long
- Maximum age 45 years for PhD and 50 years for Masters as of 1 January in the offering year
- Must have at least 8 years of service for Masters or 9 years for PhD
- Must complete the waiting period if you already studied under a previous course
- Application must be endorsed by Head of Department and verified by PPSM
- Must have no disciplinary or legal issues
- Must not be blacklisted under JPA loans or scholarships
- Must have declared assets within the last five years
- Must be free of chronic illnesses
Academic Rules
- Masters in Economics Law Architecture Counselling or Psychology requires a related first degree
- Pre requisite courses are not allowed for Masters level
- If you have an offer letter you cannot start the program before approval
- For PhD you may request deferment to begin with a JPA preparation course
- Must submit a research proposal in English or Malay
- English test not required for local study but needed abroad IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL IBT 92 or PBT 580
- May be required to take an online test called Ujian Khas
