Eligibility Requirements

Marriage Policy for JPA Scholars

JPA-sponsored students are allowed to marry during their studies only with prior approval from JPA. Conditions include:

  • Good academic performance.
  • Marriage must be with a Malaysian citizen.
  • Approval from guarantors and family.

⚠️ If students marry without permission, their sponsorship may be terminated, and they will have to repay the scholarship.

Application Process

  1. Apply online through the official JPA website: esilav2.jpa.gov.my.
  2. Sit for the psychometric test.
  3. Print the confirmation slips (Slip Pengesahan Ujian Psikometrik & Slip Pengesahan Permohonan).
  4. Attend the Student Assessment Centre (SAC) if shortlisted.
  5. Final results will be announced on the same portal.

After Graduation – Self-Reporting

All JPA scholars must report themselves after completing their studies via myself.jpa.gov.my.

  • Register eSILA-ID and log in.
  • Click Studies → Graduate Self-Report.
  • Fill in the form and upload required documents (degree, transcript, employment proof, etc.).
